Ski Wedding:

Great relationships start with a common bond or interest. We like camping with friends, we enjoy cooking which brings us together nightly, we really like fishing but aren’t any good at it. But above all our passion is skiing. Skiing has brought us closer, taught us patience, and provided a forum for expression. This passion has crept into every aspect of our lives, motivating us and keeping us young at heart.
No wonder it’s the common thread present during major milestones of our life and relationship.

Here are some of the highlights:
  • We became an official couple over a beer on the slopes of Squaw Valley during our first weekend away together.
  • Our first time traveling together was a skip trip to Telluride, Colorado.  It started as a bet over the presidential election in 2008. Branden bet McCain would win, Ali bet on Obama, and we agreed that the loser would take the winner on an all expense paid trip anywhere in the world. Branden chose Fiji, Ali chose Telluride…and our trip to Telluride was incredible.
  • During that trip we learned that we travel well together, even when maneuvering ski gear.  Since then we made a pact to take one out-of-state ski trip every year.  We’ve had the privilege of skiing at many awesome places together and some of our best memories as a couple are during these trips.
  • Branden proposed to Ali by staging an epic “wipe out” on the slopes of Northstar that had her thinking his ribs were broken and ski patrol was needed.  When she came to and realized he wasn't actually hurt, just needed an excuse to get down on one knee on the mountain, it became truly, the most amazing moment in both of our lives, to date.
  • And if that’s not enough, the first time we skied down our wedding ski run “lower show-off” at Diamond Peak, we stopped at the top to take it all in and snap a photo. At that moment we got the call from our realtor that our house offer was accepted and we were soon to be homeowners!

With all these great moments taking place on the mountain, it only seems right that we “ski” down the aisle.
We would be thrilled for you to make a weekend or vacation out of our wedding and enjoy our favorite place on earth.
Come stay, ski and celebrate with us!
